The State Farm BBQ Commercial directed by Tim & Eric blends the director’s signature humor with the insurance brand’s messaging. Featuring exaggerated performances, bizarre visuals, and awkward comedic timing, the spot follows a backyard BBQ gone wrong, with over-the-top chaos escalating in classic Tim & Eric fashion.

PRETTYBIRD asked me to create image pulls and layouts for Tim & Eric's director treatment. I had to search for images in different comedy beats mentioned in the script, organize them into folders, and archive them for later use in the Image Library. Let’s take a look at how I researched and organized.
The image pulls require looking at different photography websites and even films, to grab some stills. PRETTYBIRD also has their own image library, with archives of thousands of images in different categories, and a library of hundreds of movies and commercials to watch. I looked at past State Farm commercials, and comedy skits. For the layout, I looked through Tim & Eric's past treatments to understand his design aesthetic and created one for the team to work off of.
